The projector screen up/down switch needs to be moved to another location. As I took it down to see what could be done, a small vital part fell down a crack in the stage floor and is now wedged under the laminate.
The cover of the control had been cut to allow cable entry and is not really suitable for use in a more visible location. I have ordered a replacement control (under £8), a better way than cutting a hole in the floor to retrieve the part. I intend to mount it in its new location, under the projector control buttons.

Phil has been able to extract the part from the crack using ‘surgical’ tools. A brilliant job, but I am not ready to let him operate on me! I have reassembled and restored the old switch so the screen can be raised and lowered as before. This allows me to install the new switch I have purchased in the limited available time between hall bookings. I had envisaged having to come at 5am with the cleaners to get it in and tested on time!
The old projector screen switch has been replaced with the new one under the projector control buttons. I hope you find it obvious to operate!
