Hi Peter,
I would use a DVD player for Girls Brigade and I’m interested in learning how to use power point without needing to bring my laptop to church.
To use the USB socket on LG DP542H DVD player or equivalent to show a powerpoint file or single slide it must be converted to JPEG (or similar) format:
1. Mount the USB stick which want to use in the Hall on your computer or laptop
2. Open the powerpoint with Microsoft Office Powerpoint
3. Click File/Save As…
4. Set the “filename” to a new name on the USB stick. If you choose to convert a single slide it will be the filename of the JPEG file, or if you choose all slides in the powerpoint it will be a folder which contains JPEG files named “Slide1, Slide2,…)
5. Set the file type as JPEG.
6. Press “save current slide” or “save all slides” as required.
7. Using File Explorer open the USB stick to check that the JPEG files have been created.
8. Close File Explorer and unmount the USB stick.
